Sir Quinlan Orell
“My name isn’t important—but Quinlan’s is.”
Sir Quinlan Orell, a devoted service dog, faithful companion, and true blessing, passed away on March 12, 2026, and returned to God.
Nine years and three months ago, Quinlan came into my life at just four months old. Together, we began a journey of purpose and healing. We completed puppy kindergarten, advanced obedience training, A.K.C. obedience school, and ultimately full service dog training and certification. In every class, Quinlan excelled, earning high honors and demonstrating his intelligence, discipline, and unwavering dedication.
Quinlan was more than a service dog—he was a partner in my fight against PTSD. As a 100% disabled combat veteran, I can say without hesitation that Quinlan gave me strength, brought positivity into my life, and very likely saved my mental health—and possibly my life. He was truly on a mission from God.
Our bond was built on love, communication, and focus. Quinlan taught me to stay grounded and to approach each day with purpose. In his final moments, as he looked into my eyes, I saw only love—and a reminder to keep focusing forward.
Though the days ahead will be challenging without him, Quinlan’s spirit will remain in my heart, continuing to give me strength and guidance. While I helped train him, Quinlan gave me far more in return.
This tribute is shared to honor and salute Sir Quinlan Orell—a loyal companion, a hero in his own right, and a gift from God.
Quinlan was proudly named in honor of U.S. Navy pilot Commander Quinlan Orell of Barnesville, Ohio, who was shot down over North Vietnam in 1968 and remains listed as missing in action.
God Bless.
